This page explains what alexzlatin.com collects, why, and what you can do about it. It follows Canada's federal private-sector privacy law, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Who is responsible
Alex Zlatin, Winnipeg, Manitoba, is responsible for personal information collected on this site. Questions go to info@alexzlatin.com.
This is Alex's personal site. Mint Ops has its own privacy policy on mintops.ca, and nothing you send here is shared with Mint Ops unless you ask for that.
What we collect and why
When you contact Alex or request a speaking date
Your name, email, organization, event details and message. Used to reply and to plan the event.
When you use a free tool
The numbers you enter stay in your browser and in the page's web address, so you can bookmark or share it. Anyone you send that link to will see the numbers you entered. Nothing is sent to us unless you ask for your results by email.
When you ask a tool to email your results
Your full name, your email, the numbers you entered and the results the tool showed you. We send you one email with your numbers and a link back to your results, and Alex receives a copy so he can prepare if you book a strategy session. We do not email you again unless you ask.
Server logs
Our hosting provider records technical details of each visit, such as IP address and browser, to keep the site secure. This site does not use visitor analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
Services involved
- Forms and emailed tool results are sent by email from our hosting provider's server, from info@alexzlatin.com.
- The site's typefaces load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when a page loads.
Some of these services may store or process information outside Canada. When they do, it is subject to the laws of those countries and may be accessible to their authorities. We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and emailed tool results are kept for up to two years, then deleted.
Your choices
You can ask what information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Email info@alexzlatin.com and you will get an answer within 30 days. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
If you are not satisfied with the answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Security
The site runs over an encrypted connection, and only Alex and the people who help him run the site can see what you send.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
