Responsible Dental Ownership
Balancing Ethics and Business Through Purpose
Dental school teaches dentistry, not how to run a business. This book starts where a practice should: with its purpose and the ethics behind it. From there it covers what owners wish they had been taught, from people and human resources to the drivers that make a practice work.
Written for new owners and for anyone who needs a refresher on the business side.

A new book on owning a clinic
When Alex re-read Responsible Dental Ownership, the way of thinking still held. Much of the rest didn't, because the tools it named have moved on and the world around clinics has changed: interest rates, staffing, costs, and a government plan that changed who pays for what. So instead of a second edition, he wrote a new book.
It follows the whole life of owning a clinic, from the associate years to the day the owner hands it on, built on real stories from clinics he has worked with since. Each chapter looks past the problem everyone can see to what is actually causing it, often long before it shows.
It is written for everyone in the clinic: owners, managers, the team, and the people who live with an owner. Hygienists and denturists who own their clinics will find their part in it too.
